Thank you letters after a job interview where you want to add some additional information:
Dear (insert name here):
I am writing to thank you for the opportunity to speak with you earlier today about the ________ position. As I mentioned in the interview, I am very interested in the opening and believe that my customer service and supervisory experience would be a good fit.
During the interview, you mentioned that you were hoping to find a candidate who knew about the project management life cycle. I just completed a two month training on project management at the Learning Institute, which included completing a project at my current job as a part of that course.
Please let me know if I can provide any additional information while you complete your interviews.

Thank you letters after a job interview that did not go well because of a missing skill set.
Dear (insert name here):
I am writing to thank you for the opportunity to interview with you earlier today for the _____________ position.
During our discussion, it was apparent that you are looking for someone with more experience than I possess in managing teams of ten people or more. However, I believe that my background and skills in managing a team of five people provides a solid foundation that can still apply to a larger team. Proper use of technology and delegation would be tools I would use to adapt my experience for this position.
I am very interested in the opportunity and hope that you will consider me. Please let me know if there is any additional information I can provide to you while you consider your decision.
Thank you for your time.
